When one pictures Disney, Florida theme parks generally come to mind. But behind a sea of cartoons and major motion pictures, Disney researchers have quietly doing what they do all along. Recently, they've been crafting new ways to examine the age old idea that water is intrinsically tied to all aspects of our existence. Take for instance the Touche' - a new technology that enables any object, including water, to recognize human gestures via an interpretation of electrical signals. According to researchers, depending on electrical pressure applied, a doorknob can now detect whether it is being pinched, grasped, tapped or thrown across a room too, we gather. Apparently, water also has the ability to detect variable electrical signals. Sharks have always known this of course, (JAWS I, II & III) but humans always seem to think that they're the first to discover everything. Currently, scientists are seeking useful applications so that ultimately, mass consumer use will undoubtedly bring in even higher revenue for the big D. Perhaps it's just a matter of time before all of us can multi-task while taking a bath, just by tiddling the water this way and that.
