Most of us don't recognize there's even a problem until our bodies have already reached a significant level of stress, when extreme fluctions of heat in the spring and summer seasons occurs. Unexpected heat stroke can come on rather fast and it can actually shock the brain, damage organs, and even cause death. A significant factor leading up to heat stroke is dehydration, where all cells begin to starve as body fluids cannot flow normally. Those involved in sports or jobs where physical labor is a major factor are particularily susceptible and even athletes who believe they are in top condition can succumb, if they do not hydrate properly. Those who take care to maintain a healthy level of hydration daily can offset the severe effects of stress the organs take on when temperature fluctions do occur.
